Getting your short film made is only the start of the battle. But how do you figure out your journey from there? Who is your audience? What is the best venue or format for your film?Â
The Pitch Film Fund not only funds the finalists of their pitching process, they also produce the selected pitches into world-class short films. Additionally, they provide training and mentoring, making all participating filmmakers the beneficiaries of extraordinary levels of industry experience. This workshop will give participants access to the lessons and wisdom of one of the biggest short film funders and producers in the UK.
Paul Holbrook is an award-winning writer and director and has recently been inducted into the BBC Writers Room. His short films have consistently raised the bar of short filmmaking, crossing genres, expanding a roster of established actors and becoming more and more ambitious with each new project. From heartfelt dramas like Sunday Worship to nail-biting psychological horrors like Hungry Joe to authentic comedies like Shiny, Paul Holbrook is one of the contemporary jewels of British filmmaking. His experiences, insights and advice are as eye-opening as they are invaluable.
