About the event
Cameo Launch is proud to present "Shortest Night of the Month" a one-hour screening of four fantastic, comedically dark short films, followed by a thirty-minute filmmaker Q&A with the directors of two of the films in our line-up. The short films that will be included in our event are:
He Took His Skin Off For Me
A simple, domestic love story about a man who takes his skin off for his girlfriend, and why it probably wasn't the best idea...
A Best Man
On his best friend’s wedding day, Josh proves a best man can only do so much to make sure everything goes smoothly for the bride and groom.
London. 1960. In the offices of English printing pioneers Hadley Print & Press sits Richard Simpson, a junior executive who has it all: a gorgeous secretary he longs to hold; the Hadley TK-421, Britain's first commercial photocopier and his idea for the companys future; and the knowledge that this is the day that he or one other man, Malcolm Howard, will be promoted to the highest echelons of the company. Yet as with most best laid plains, Richard's are going to lead him to a dark place and one bloody, rather funny, form of retribution.
Sarah Chong is Going to Kill Herself
A surreal workplace fantasy in which a maltreated receptionist decides to take matters into her own hands. Hands which may well contain grenades.
The screening will be followed by a 30-minute live Q&A with Ben Aston (director of He Took His Skin Off For Me) and Jonathan Reid-Edwards (director of Hadley TK-421), exclusively for our special guests.
The screening begins promptly at 6pm so please arrive early. RSVP to this event to reserve your seat.
